Jayandmarie hit one million

Hey, I just heard that longtime eBay celebrity jayandmarie just got their one millionth feedback. Wow!
That’s even more impressive because I think Jay listed all their items manually through the SYI flow until fairly recently. 800 listings a night, like clockwork. And they manage all their inventory items themselves. Unbelievable. As a fledgling seller myself, that is truly an astounding achievement.
I was actually bought by Jay (and Marie) at eBay Live! last year (I know that doesn’t sound good, but let me elaborate a bit) … there was a charity auction held by the Professional eBay Seller’s Alliance (PESA) to benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and I was one of the items put up for bid. The auction took place at Great America, an amusement park in San Jose that eBay rented out for the night, so once they bought me I got to spend the rest of the night riding roller coasters with Marie. She told some great stories about Jay, including how she met him, hunched over bargain record bins looking for the next great find. Some things never change… J
Hopefully Jay and Marie will be at Live! this year – I’ll keep an eye out. Fortunately he’s hard to miss, as his outfits are usually quite, um, distinctive. This picture is from the auction right after they won me last year, and you can see Jay’s stylin’ flamed cap and Technicolor southwestern-style
shirt.
I’m not up for auction this year (so far as I know) but if you hang around the Pinks lounge, you may get lucky and hear a reunion concert of the Trust and Safety a cappella group I’m a member of, the E-Notes… our mastermind and gifted lyricist Larry Friedberg won’t be in Vegas this year because his son has a graduation, but I think we’ve found someone who might be able to fill in… so keep an eye out!
See you in Vegas!
